Google or Facebook sign-in provides your account identifier and email, if available. Some requests and business contacts may come from publicly available sources.

Purposes and legal basis

Account access, participant communication and support are processed to provide our service. Preventing abuse and handling complaints serve our legitimate interest in security. Legal requirements are processed to meet legal obligations. Google Analytics and subscribed newsletters rely on consent. A feature may be unavailable without the data it needs.

Who has access

Participants see information you share in requests, offers and conversations. Avoid unnecessary personal details. Authorised staff and hosting, technical support and email delivery providers receive access as needed for their work. Google or Meta participates when you choose social sign-in; Google Analytics when you allow analytics. Data may be disclosed to authorities when legally required.

Google and Meta may process data outside the EEA. Transfers require legal safeguards, such as an EU adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about the safeguards used.

Retention

We retain account and interaction data while needed for the service and your history. On a deletion request, we assess what is still needed for unresolved enquiries, legal claims or mandatory retention; the period depends on those purposes. Subscription data is used until you unsubscribe. A minimal opt-out record may be retained to prevent further newsletters. Cookie lifetimes are listed separately.

Your rights

Where the law allows, you can obtain a copy of your data, correct, delete or transfer it, restrict processing or object. Consent can be withdrawn at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. For account deletion, including Google or Facebook links, or other requests, email us below. Identity confirmation may be required. We normally respond within one month and will inform you of an extension.
